* Televisions, refrigerators, washing machines (dryers), air conditioners, personal computers and other special garbage (e.g. tires, fire extinguishers) cannot be disposed of as rubbish that requires contact. Please take these items back to the store where you purchased them, or to the store at which you will purchase a replacement for the old item.

Disposing of rubbish which needs contact

When asking the City for pickup

(1) Please call the Rubbish Reception Center (053-453-2288) and apply.

Please confirm the following information when you call.

There are interpreters available when you call.

• Please inform the center what you would like to dispose of. You can dispose of up to 10 items each time.
• Please confirm the amount of required service fee.
• Please confirm the date of disposal.
• Please confirm the disposal site (in front of your house, rubbish collection site for your building, next to the road, etc.)
• Please confirm the reception number (required when you put out your rubbish for disposal) and write it down so you will not forget.

(2)Pay the service fee and collect your payment confirmation slip at a convenience store, etc.

 

• Please pay your required service fee at any convenience store in the city or at a city facility (garbage disposal office, local ward office, etc.)
• Once you have paid the required service fee for the rubbish you would like to dispose of, you will receive a “Payment Confirmation Slip.” You get 1 slip for every 310 yen you pay.

 

(3) Fill in your “Collection Date” and “Reception Number” on the payment confirmation slip(s) and stick it on the rubbish you would like to dispose of.

Please ensure you have the correct number of payment confirmation slips when you are disposing multiple items of Rubbish That Require Contact.
You will receive 1 payment confirmation slip when you pay 310 yen, 2 slips when you pay 620 yen, 3 slips when you pay 930 yen and 4 slips when you pay 1,240 yen. Please stick the appropriate number of confirmation slips for the service fees on each piece of rubbish you would like to dispose of.

(4) Place the rubbish at the location confirmed in step (1) before 8:30 am on the collection day.

• Please place the rubbish you would like to dispose of at the location confirmed in step (1) before 8:30 am on the day of collection.
• A city employee will check the payment confirmation slip(s) before collecting the rubbish. Rubbish without a payment confirmation slip stuck on or with insufficient amount of payment confirmation slips will not be collected.
