Goal for Reducing Household Waste

Thanks to the cooperation of everyone in Hamamatsu City, the amount of waste generated by households has decreased since 2023.

Therefore, we have decided to once again share our goal for the reduction of household waste so that we can continue to work together towards waste reduction.

Our goal is to reduce the amount of household waste generated per person per day to 404 grams or less by 2028. Our slogan is “Go! Challenge 404”.

※Household waste: burnable waste, non-burnable waste, and contact garbage 

Ways to Reduce Waste

Burnable waste includes recyclable plastic containers and packaging, miscellaneous papers, and food products past their expiration date.

Let’s make a conscious effort to sort recyclables and use up all our food products to reduce waste.
