Special Items

Special items are fluorescent tubes, batteries, mercury thermometers, lighters and spray cans and desktop gas cylinders, vapes and e-cigarettes (with a heating component).

Disposal

Place the special items into a container used for bottles, cans, or PET bottles that are at the garbage collection site. Separate fluorescent tubes into their own container.

Fluorescent tubes	To prevent breakage, put the tube in the box of the replacement tube or wrap it in newspaper. If the tube is broken, dispose of it as “Non-burnable Rubbish.”	Place in the fluorescent tube only container.
Battery types: D, C, AA, AAA and N batteries Button and coin cell batteries Small rechargeable batteries	*Do not dispose of car batteries. Please take it back to where you bought it from or to a specialist to dispose of it.	Place in the other objects containers.
Mercury thermometers. Mercury Thermometer	Put it in a case, etc.
Lighters	Use up completely before disposing.
Spray cans Desktop gas cylinders	Use up completely before disposing.
Vapes and e-cigarettes (with a heating component)	If possible, please remove the battery from the device before disposing of it.
