(1) | Burnable Rubbish | Burnable materials shorter than 60 cm long Raw waste, objects made of leather hides or fabric, plastic products, plants and grass, etc. *Dirty items with a ![]() |

(2) | Non-burnable Rubbish | Non-burnable materials no longer than 60cm Small electrical appliances, metal products, glass or ceramic products etc. |

(3) | Plastic Containers and Packaging | Clean items with a![]() Food containers or trays, plastic bags, plastic wrap (cling film), labels on PET bottles, bottle caps, etc. *Dirty items are to be disposed of as “Burnable Rubbish”! |

Clear glass bottles from food/drink *Metal caps are non-burnable rubbish. |

(10) | Rubbish That Requires Contact | Eligible items include items made of sturdy materials, items that require special handling for disposal, wooden furniture that cannot be broken down, and items longer than 60 cm. Examples: clothes irons, rice cookers, microwave ovens, bicycles, desks, tables, chest of drawers, etc. |

*Rubbish produced by shops and factories is not left out in the same place as household rubbish. Businesses should apply to the city for permission to dispose of rubbish or they should bring it to the city's disposal facility by themselves (both options require a fee).
*Non-compliance with rubbish disposal rules is a crime. Just don't do it.
*Illegal dumping of rubbish (not following the rules set out for rubbish disposal, dumping rubbish without permission, etc.) is a crime. Please refrain from doing so.

Place “Burnable Rubbish,” “Non-burnable Rubbish” and “Plastic Containers and Packaging ()in a designated rubbish bag when you put out your rubbish.
*Hamamatsu City designated rubbish bags are available for purchase at supermarkets and convenience stores.
