Latter-stage elderly medical insurance is formed as a medical system for elderly people.
A citizen with health insurance
A beneficiary can receive services such as medical examination, medicine, provision of medical treatment materials, medical treatment, and medical expense of operations. There are “partial payment” and “high cost medical care payment” systems. Bring your Latter-stage elderly medical insurance card to appropriate medical institutions.

Premiums for nursing care insurance (kaigo hoken) are paid by individuals over 40 years of age. Participants in this insurance system receive nursing care in the event that they require such care in the future. Premium costs are determined by individual income. When a person is in need of nursing support or care, either the affected individual or a family member can go to the local city hall or ward office and apply for official “designation of nursing requirement” (yō kaigo nintei) status. Qualifying individuals are eligible to receive nursing benefits, including Home Help, Day Service, and Short Stay service. There is also a service available to lend necessary nursing care equipment to qualified individuals.
