都市・自治体連合アジア太平洋支部執行理事会2014浜松　執行理事会

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome and thank you for coming.I am Yasutomo Suzuki, the mayor of Hamamatsu.

As the host city holding the UCLG ASPAC Executive Bureau meeting, I would like to say a few words to sincerely welcome you all on behalf of the city of Hamamatsu.

The world’s largest local government network, the United Cities and Local Governments, has drawn much attention and increased its importance through its many activities and cooperation between member cities. 

We are greatly honored to be holding the Executive Bureau meeting after having held the congress here in 2010.I expect that at the international conference tomorrow, we will be able to have an active and fruitful debate. 

In a world where social and economic globalization is quickly expanding, the roles of cities and local governments that connect directly with the lives of citizens are becoming ever more important. 

I hope that we can take this opportunity to further the cooperation between our cities and make that the foundation for our continued mutual development.

浜松市長の鈴木康友でございます。皆さまようこそ、浜松にお越しくださいました。
浜松市を代表して、心から歓迎いたしますとともに、UCLG　ASPAC執行理事会の開催にあたり、開催市としてご挨拶申し上げます。

世界最大の自治体ネットワークである「都市・自治体連合」は、これまでの活発な活動や会員都市間の連携により、大きく注目され、その存在意義を高めてきました。

その執行理事会が、2010年のコングレスに続き、私ども浜松市で開催されますことは、大変光栄であり、明日の国際会議とともに、活発な議論が交わされ、実りあるものになりますことを大いに期待いたしております。

社会経済のグローバル化が急速に進展するなかで、市民生活に直結する都市・自治体の役割はますます重要になっています。

今回の会議を契機に、各都市の連携が一層促進され、相互に発展していく礎となりますことを祈念し、開催の挨拶といたします。
