Children often catch this disease during the summer months.
We ask that you follow the below advice to prevent catching and spreading the disease.
Precautions
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Try to avoid physical contact with those infected with hand, foot and mouth disease - this includes sharing the same towel.
- Please go to the hospital if you display any of the symptoms listed below.
Symptoms of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

- Appearance of a 2mm-3mm diameter blister-like rash on the hands, feet, and inside or around the mouth.
- Some patients may develop a fever.
