Prevent Drowning Accidents!

Many drowning accidents occur in Shizuoka Prefecture every year.

The Enshu Coast and the water by Bentenjima Seaside Park have fast currents and deceptively deep areas, which present extreme danger when swimming.

Being careless or overconfident when going out to the ocean or rivers can lead to water-related accidents, so please ensure to wear an inflatable life jacket when fishing or going out on the water.

Swimming whilst intoxicated presents a serious threat to your life, so do not go swimming if you have consumed any alcohol.

Children playing by water are not to be left unsupervised.
