Eligibility
  1. Citizens aged 65 or older on the day of vaccination
  2. Citizens aged 60 to 64 on the day of vaccination who have a severe disability of the heart, kidney, respiratory system, or immune function, which can be proved by their Physical Disability Handbook.

Cost Self-Pay Cost:
  • 1,600 yen (Subsidy available only once during the vaccination period; full cost applies from the second vaccination onward)
People in households receiving public assistance:
  • Free vaccination vouchers will be sent out around the end of September
People in households where all members are exempt from municipal resident tax:
Free of charge by either 1. or 2. below
  1. Present documents at the medical institution showing all members of your household are exempt from municipal tax.
  2. Apply for a free vaccination voucher at one of the health centers (see table below) before receiving the vaccination.
    No refunds can be issued after vaccination.

Change in Certificate Issuance Fees for the Convenience Stores Issuance Service Starting October 1
10月1日からの証明書コンビニ交付サービス交付手数料の変更

From October 1, the fees for obtaining certificates at convenience stores and other locations equipped with multi-function copiers will change.
A complete family register certificate and an individual family register certificate will cost 300 yen, while a copy of the Certificate of Residence (excluding removal and revision records), a Seal Registration Certificate, and an Income Certificate will cost 200 yen each, which is 150 yen cheaper than at the municipal office counter. Please make use of this convenient and affordable certificate issuance service at convenience stores. For more details, please check the website.
