Benefits for Households Exempt from FY 2024 Residence Tax
令和6年度住民税非課税世帯に対する給付金

Eligibility
Households with Certificate of Residence in Hamamatsu City as of December 13, 2024
Note: Households where all members are dependents of someone who is subject to residence tax are not eligible.
Households Exempt from Residence Tax
Households with all members exempt from FY 2024 residence tax on a per capita basis
Child Allowance
The households above that also include a child who is 18 years old or younger (born on or after April 2, 2006)
Benefit Amount
Households Exempt from Residence Tax
30,000 yen (per household)
Child Allowance
20,000 yen (per child 18 years old or younger)
Notification
Notifications are being mailed to eligible households, beginning in about mid-January.
Application Method
Please refer to the notification received.
Note: The deadline is approaching. Benefits cannot be received if submitted after the application deadline.
Eligible people should complete the application process early.

Please contact the Hamamatsu City Special Benefits for Residence Tax-Exempt Households Call Center in the following cases:
  1. All household members became exempt from FY 2024 per capita residence tax due to divorce, death, etc.
  2. The household has a child born on or after December 14, 2024, or has a dependent child living at a separate address such as at a school dormitory.
  3. Households that believe they are eligible but have not received a notification.

Declaration of Kei Car (Light Vehicle) Tax (By Type)
軽自動車税(種別割)に関する申告

“Kei Car (Light Vehicle) Tax (by type)” will be imposed on owners of kei cars (light vehicles) or motorcycles as of April 1 annually.
Please note that there is no prorated or refund system for those who register or retire light vehicles mid-year.
Ensure to complete the declaration process by March 31 (Mon) 2025.
Eligible: People who have disposed of their vehicle, people who have given or received a vehicle, people who have moved in to or out of the city with their vehicle, people who need to amend the contents of their declaration.

Eligibility
Those who will be living in the city from April 1 to the date of application and who did not receive a vehicle or light vehicle tax reduction or exemption in the previous fiscal year (2024) and who have one of the following handbooks.
* If you are scrapping a car, please complete the procedure to cancel the tax reduction/exemption stamp in your handbook.

Rabies Vaccine
狂犬病予防注射

The law mandates that all pet dogs must be registered and vaccinated against rabies. Dogs only need to be registered one time, but must receive a rabies shot annually, such as at a veterinary hospital. Municipal mass vaccinations are only offered by the Tenryu Ward.
