COVID-19 Vaccinations (3rd Shot/1st and 2nd Shots)

Getting Your 3rd Vaccination

People Who Qualify:

Anyone who fits all of the following criteria:

  • People aged 18 and over
  • People with a registered address in Hamamatsu City
  • 5 months have passed since their second vaccination shot date.

Getting Your Vaccine:

1. Getting Your Vaccination Voucher

  • Hamamatsu City Residents (those who have registered their address at City Hall) will be sent their vaccination voucher (a vital document you need in order to get vaccinated) by post. The vaccination voucher will arrive approximately midway through the month prior to when you can receive your 3rd vaccination shot.
  • If 5 months have passed since receiving your 2nd vaccination shot and you have not received your next vaccination voucher, please register for it using one of the below methods:

  2. Telephone Hamamatsu City COVID-19 Vaccine Information Hotline 0120-319-567(free)
    ※Available between 9:00 - 17:00
    ※Available in Japanese, English, Portuguese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Spanish and Chinese. 
    ※When you call, the first voice you hear will be in Japanese.
    ※When you hear the voice, press one of the following buttons to access the language you want. You will be connected to an interpreter.

2. Booking an Appointment

Method 1 If you wish to be vaccinated at a hospital or clinic

Phone the hospital/clinic directly to book an appointment

For Seirei Mikatahara General Hospital, Regional General Disability Rehabilitation Center (3453 Mikatahara-cho, Kita-ku)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Center: 053-436-0567
    Bookings can be made between 9:00 and 17:00
    ※Closed on Weekends and Public Holidays
    ※There are no interpreters available.
Method 2 If you wish to be vaccinated at a group venue

You can book using one of the following 3 methods:

  1. LINE(Japanese)
  2. Online(Japanese)
  3. Telephone Hamamatsu City COVID-19 Vaccine Information Hotline 0120-319-567(free)
    ※Available between 9:00 - 17:00
    ※Available in Japanese, English, Portuguese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Spanish and Chinese.

3. Getting Your Vaccine

Please make sure to bring the following documents with you to your vaccination center on your vaccination day:

  • Vaccination Voucher and Preliminary Screening Questionnaire (Please have filled in before coming to the venue)
  • Form of Identification (e.g. My Number Card, Residence Card, Driving License, Health Insurance Card etc.)
  • Medical Record (if applicable)

Getting Your 1st and 2nd Vaccination

People Who Qualify:

  • People aged 12 and over
  • People with a registered address in Hamamatsu City

Getting Your Vaccines:

1. Getting Your Vaccination Vouchers

Types of Vaccinations you May Receive

  • Takeda Vaccine / Moderna (Spikevax) 
  • Pfizer Vaccine (Comirnaty) 

※Booster Shots (3rd Vaccinations) for the 12-17 age group will be Pfizer only
