Vaccinations for COVID-19

Vaccinations for spring 2023 have started. Scan the QR code to check your eligibility. Vaccination vouchers were sent out in late April to those aged 65 or older and those with underlying medical conditions who have previously applied for vaccinations. Those who work at medical institutions, nursing homes,etc. and those with underlying medical conditions who have not received a vaccination voucher need to apply.

Special Household Support Benefit for Low Income Child Rearing Households (¥50,000 per child)

A benefit has been made available since May 31 to support single-parent households and low-income households that are rearing children. Those who fall under the following categories are required to apply.

Eligibility

  • People who receiveing a public pension, but have not received the Child Rearing Allowance for March 2023.
  • Those whose income is at the same level as those receiving child support allowance due to sudden changes in household finances, affected by price hikes for food and other items.

Households that have a child under the age of 18 (under 20, in the case of a disabled child) as of March 31, 2023, whose income decreased after January 1, 2023 due to the effects of rising food and other prices, and whose income will be roughly the same as that of those exempt from paying residents tax.
Conditions This benefit can only be received once. This benefit cannot be received in addition to single-parent beneft.

Applications should be submitted in person, or via the postal service to the Child Rearing Support Division.

FY2024 Scholarship Applications
< 令和6年度奨学金の申請 >

School expenses will be loaned interest-free to students who are unable to access education due to economic difficulties. Applications will be accepted from the summer of the year prior to enrolment.
Please check the application guidelines on the city website, etc. before preparing your applications.

Eligibility:
(1) Those residing in the city and will enroll or are currently enrolled in a university or vocational school for the 2024 fiscal year (monthly loan amount: 45,000 yen).
(2) Those who are children of residents in the city and will enroll or are currently enrolled a high-school for the 2024 academic year and also commute to school from a location away from their parent’s home (monthly loan limit: 30,000 yen).
