Moving

Moving Procedures

When moving there are various procedures that must be carried out at the ward office and other public service offices. Please contact the responsible division for more information.

Change of address (Moving-in, change of address, moving-out notification)

Carry out procedures required to change your address.
*Please contact the Ward Municipal Services Division at your local ward office for any enquiries.

Personal Seal Registrations

Please return your Citizen Card (Certificate of Seal Registration) when moving to another city.

If you move to somewhere else within the city, you can continue to use your Citizen Card (and Inkan (seal) registration certificate) as is.

National Health Insurance

Please return your Hamamatsu City Health Insurance Card when moving to another city as it will no longer be valid. You must re-enroll in your new city of residence. There are also procedures to be completed when moving within Hamamatsu.

National Pension

*Please consult the Senior Citizens Support and Health Insurance Division.

Public Elementary and Junior High Schools

Please consult the school your child is attending or the Educational Support Division of the Board of Education.

Taxes

Please consult the Tax General Affairs Division.

Child-care Allowances (Jido teate)

When moving out of the city, please submit a Cancellation of Child-care Allowance Notice. When moving within the city, please inform the responsible department of your new address.

Other

Driver's licenses, electricity, gas, water, etc., also require certain procedures.
