Hands-on Event: Experience Living in Ancient Japan
WhenJan 28th (Sat), 29th (Sun), Feb 11th (Sat), 12th (Sun), 9:30 am – noon; 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
WhatRoast mochi rice cakes in a traditional clay oven, (¥50 for each mochi ); try your hand at using ancient tools, play traditional games, join in a traditional tool quiz rally, make a setsubun mask / picture card show (Jan 28th – 29th only), observe rice being cooked in a traditional kamado oven and taste the results! (Feb 12th 1:00 pm – while rice lasts).
