Please do not forget to complete the procedures for entering the National Pension Scheme when you submit your application for foreigner registration.
When application procedures have been completed, your pension book (a blue book slightly bigger than a passport) will be sent to your home. Please keep this safe.
There is a system in place that exempts people from making payments when payments are difficult to make due to reasons such as low income, loss of employment or the person having just arrived in the country.
In cases where a short-term insured person (over 6 months) returns to their home country having not received a pension, a lump sum payment will be paid out depending on the amount of time the insured person paid into the scheme. Procedures should be carried out upon arrival in their home country.
