Changes to Occupation, Visa Status, Period of Stay or Place of Work

When

・Within 14 days of the change to occupation, visa status, period of stay or place of work
・ Changes to address in home country, passport number, passport date of issue, name of householder, relationship to householder, household members (when changes affect the householder), and mother, father or spouse living in Japan should be corrected when making application for anything covered by Alien Registration Law.

Receiving a Certificate of Completion of Foreigner Registration

This is a certificate of the details contained in the foreigner registration and is equivalent to a Japanese national's Certificate of Residence (jyuminhyo ).

・A representative in possession of letter of attorney from applicant

Use of a Proxy

Permitted when in possession of a letter of attorney

Forms to be Submitted

Application for Certificate of Completion of Foreigner Registration (available at the counter).

Proxy must submit a letter of attorney, relatives from the same household are not required to do so.

・In the case of a proxy, proof of identity such as a driver's license or other photo identification.
