In principle, foreigners who will reside in Japan for more than 90 days are required to register as foreign residents. If this applies to you, register at the ward office of the ward you are living in.

This is a certificate of the details contained in the foreigner registration and is equivalent to a Japanese national's Certificate of Residence (jyuminhyo ).
