Easy Access to Other Major Cities by Train & Car
It only takes 90 minutes by shinkansen (bullet train) to get to Hamamatsu from Tokyo or Osaka. One can also utilize two interchanges on the Tomei Expressway: the Hamamatsu Interchange and the Hamamatsu-Nishi Interchange. A nonstop bus to Hamamatsu from Nagoya’s Centrair Airport also takes about 90 minutes. Additionally, the Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport is scheduled to open in 2009, making access from abroad even more convenient.
