Deutsch-Japanese Symposium for Optroniks
On October 2nd, the Deutsch-Japanese Symposium for Optroniks was held in Hamamatsus ACT City. The symposium was held in order to promote the cooperation of photoelectron technology industry and research between Jena (Germany), and Hamamatsu. On the day of the event, the Governor of Thuringen, Germany, and approximately 40 companies and institutes representing Jena, Germany, as well as companies from Hamamatsu attended. Appealing to the participants from Germany, the Mayors opening speech introduced Hamamatsu as a city of innovation, and promoted the unique features of the citys industries, living environment and so on. Through this Symposium, it is hoped that international cooperation between the companies and institutions of Jena, Germany and Hamamatsu will increase as well as the development of photoelectron technology industries in both cities.
