Mayor of Hamamatsu visits Canada to promote Hamamatsu International Mosaiculture 2009!
The Mayor of Hamamatsu visited Toronto and Montreal between the 23rd and 28th November to recruit participants for Hamamatsu International Mosaiculture 2009. While in Canada the Mayor attended the annual meeting of the International Mosaiculture Committee, and met with a number of officials, including the Deputy Mayor of Toronto, Joe Pantelone, a representative from the Niagara Parks Commission, Charles Hunter, and the Mayor of Montreal, Gérard Tremblay, to ask them to exhibit at Hamamatsu International Mosaiculture 2009. They all responded positively, with the Deputy Mayor of Toronto stating that he was extremely interested in the Hamamatsu exposition and would personally investigate the possibility of Toronto displaying an exhibit, while Charles Hunter of the Niagara Parks Commission declared that he would do all he could to ensure the success of Hamamatsus event and would like more detailed information with a view to presenting an exhibit. The Mayor of Montreal offered his full cooperation, stating that Montreal would most certainly exhibit in Hamamatsus event. Montreal hopes to produce a world-class exhibit. Thus, the trip made a significant contribution toward the success of Hamamatsu International Mosaiculture 2009.
